Teaching

I love the classroom. My approach to teaching is one of collaboration and mentorship. For this work, I was named as the inaugural recipient of the Golden Quill Teaching Award — an honor voted upon by the School of Journalism student body. I also was named as the University’s first recipient of the Nicholas G. Evans Academic Advising Award. In 2017, I received the Harry Heath Academic Advising Award at Iowa State University.
